Description:

Featuring nearly forty exhibits, an observation area with scopes and an eleven-minute documentary film, the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center is ideal for viewing what has become known as the “drive-in” glacier. The surrounding area contains four hiking trails and a salmon spawning viewing platform, offering breathtaking photo opportunities. The glacier center is located near Mendenhall Lake on the northeastern side of the city.

Open May - Sep: daily 8:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.; Oct - Apr: Thurs. - Sun. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
